Tuesday: Advanced Practice - Autonomic Dysreflexia in Spinal Cord Injury
Seen in patients with incomplete (usually) spinal cord injury at T6 or above
Present with distended bladder/bowel, HTN, blurry vision, sweating, flushed skin.
Tx = Decompress bowel and bladder, consider antihypertensive medications.

Cirrhosis can have a complex balance of hemostasis, the elevated INR does not always indicate low risk for thrombotic complications and are often at high risk for such complications while also being at a risk for bleeding because of thrombocytopenia.
Transfuse platlets to keep >100k for serious bleeding
