Need true lateral and AP X-rays to evaluate for elbow fractures 

Anterior humeral line: anterior humeral shaft line normally intersects middle 1/3 of capitellum 

Radiocapitellar line: long axis of radial shaft/head should intersect middle of capitellum 

Anterior fat pad can be normal 

Anterior sail sign – abnormal 

Posterior sail sign – always abnormal

Don’t mistake ossification centers for fractures …
