Monday: Back to Basics - Acetaminophen Overdose & Management
- Acute single ingestion: >150 mg/ kg
- Chronic ingestion: > 4g/ day
- Draw Acetaminophen Level @ 4 hrs
- Treatment =
- PO dose: 140 mg/kg loading dose; then 70 mg/ kg PO every 4 hours x 17 doses
- IV dose: 150 mg/kg loading dose; then 50 mg/kg over 4 hours; then 100 mg/kg over 16 hour.
Tuesday: Advanced Practice - Post Partum Hemorrhage
- Give fluids/blood products as needed
- 4 Causes: 4 Ts: Tone, Tissue, Trauma, Thrombin (coagulopathies)
