Answer:  Scapholunate dislocation

 

Scapholunate dislocation

  • Most common ligamentous injury of the wrist.
  • Results from hyperextension of scapholuntae ligament.
  • Radiograph reveals a >3mm separation between these two carpal bones - known as the "Terry Thomas sign
  • Immobilization and referral to orthopedics are appropriate, surgery sometimes required.
