I recently had a case of a new rash and flu-like symptoms. Multiple negative covid and flu tests later, the differential was broadened and DRESS syndrome was diagnosed. With varying symptoms, incomplete presentations, and a delayed onset from drug exposure, this can be tough to diagnose! Be sure to include DRESS syndrome on your differential for rash with systemic symptoms!
